Graeme Wilson
I graduated from the Three Year Psychosynthesis course run by Jay Ray of Focus Transpersonal
Therapies in 2004.
I learned a tremendous amount from my three years training, gained a good deal of personal development, and learned the skills to speak publicly, facilitate workshops or group therapy sessions, as well as the core skills of working one on one with a client in Psychosynthesis therapy sessions.
My 3rd Year project mainly involved exploring men's issues from a Psychosynthesis perspective. This began with exploring what it means to be a man in New Zealand society, from my own beliefs and observations, and culminated in designing and facilitating a men's group which used Psychosynthesis techniques and principles to allow a group of men to explore the beliefs about being a man, and how this has shaped and limited their lives. Follow the link to see the page, and some articles, on Psychosynthesis and Men's Issues.
Over the past 10 years I have been involved in a variety of Self development groups and systems, which lead me to discover Psychosynthesis, which I see as a refinement of many of these other teachings, free from a lot of jargon and unnecessary mystification.
From a Psychosynthesis and therapeutic perspective, I am interested in working with people in spiritual crisis to help them turn their spiritual emergency into spiritual emergence and Self-growth. Psychosynthesis provides an excellent framework for working with spiritual growth as it recognises a need for balance in all areas of a person's life, including the mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
In October 2004 I decided to put my web design experience to good use and set up an online website for the Will Project, which was a programme of study on all aspects of the Will, originally proposed by Roberto Assagioli (the founder of Psychosynthesis).
If you live in Dunedin and are interested in one-on-one therapy sessions (which are 1½ hours in duration) and would like to work with a Psychosynthesis therapist then please feel welcome to contact me. I am happy to meet with you in person before you decide if Psychosynthesis is an approach which feels right to you, and if you feel I am the right person to guide you into your process. You can email me at graeme@psychosynthesis.org.nz or phone me on 03-474 0197 or 021-110 8096. You may also wish to check out my website Inner Path.
